Her Face

I was a traveler with fatigue and frustration,
Walking down an unseen road clumsily,
The streets were grey except the bright sky,
I predicted a downpour hastily.

The harsh sun was up and it was there to stay,
No wind was blowing to make the trees sway,
And there I was walking not taking a breath,
Searching for a destination not knowing its way.

And then what happened was a miracle to me,
When a glimmer of the now-golden sunlight,
Sparkled and tore across the sky,
It dazzled my senses and soothed my sight.

I remember the moment clearly still now,
What I saw across the road was what changed my path,
The ray of brilliant golden light fell on her face,
I saw an Earthly Sun sparkled against the harsh Sun’s mirth.

This was what made the heat so golden,
Her face,
That’s what I saw when I looked at the palace,
A beautiful face stood there.

Her face was so bright I can’t describe how it looked,
But surely calling her Moon would be an insult to her,
Her face shone like the Sun and not the Moon,
Her face so radiant, yet so calm and sober!

Her bright eyes emitted a confident light,
Which brightened up the street on which I was,
I looked at the end of the road and O!
There was not a destination but a bottomless cause!

I thanked her and was about to ask her to join me,
But just then by chance I realized that,
A Sun always shines alone across the vast blue sky,
A solitary throne in the sky is where it sat.

I am a traveler with no fatigue and frustration,
Now, I tread on a different route away from her mansion,
And as of now, no pit is my tension,
When I reach the destination, her face I’ll mention.

Yes, and it also gives rise to memes (call me shameless but procrastinating is a better feeling than working hard). You have read them, right?

Thank you so much for your lovely Poetic Verse. I wanna jump into the ocean in which the Sun sets. Alas! I can’t.
