Independence Day Special

I am writing this a lot later than other Indians because I wanted to feel the day and write about it’s feeling. The day is filled with immense sense of pride and patriotism to every Indian living in and even outside India.

I started my day, fairly early. I went upstairs to my terrace. With the Tricolor in my hands. I put up the National Flag gladly and proudly on the highest point of the roof railings. The day was windy and the float was worshipped by the swift winds for very long. The flag fluttered reminding me of all the struggle that went in to make our beloved motherland this great. I am still overwhelmed with feelings when I’m writing this after the flag has been put down for the day end. I am very happy to be a part of this country which the world identifies because of Her culture, tradition, and warmth. I got overwhelming response for my post dated yesterday. Both Indians and Non Indian people took great pleasure in talking about my motherland.

Today, at many places the flag housing ceremony was conducted with very less spoke and show because of the global pandemic but nowhere in any inch of the holy Indian Soil was the enthusiasm and respect for the country’s 74th (not 73rd) Independence Day dwindled at all. It soon turned into a Rainy Day. God, to whom our Wonderful National Anthem Jana Gana Mana is dedicated, wept for the loss if great lives laid down for the sake of an ideology of Free India. It is surprising how Ideas can shape the destiny of a Human Being.

At many places, in both the real and virtual world, people paid their respect to the great Leaders who were involved in the Freedom Struggle. I was shocked but for another reason.

Many people said the statement, Is our country really free?

I wanted to laugh and curse them at the same time. First, I understand breaches in Equality, Secularism, and Poverty, etc. still suppress India. But honestly, I and not those Intellectuals have ever freed any country. The difference. They are not satisfied but I am. I know it’s a difficult task to build a nation so diverse from scratch. Plus, the nation was partitioned. I often wonder how can a Country so Different in Terms of Everything stand together as India? I wonder how such a huge country lives so peacefully even after being so strong.

India is a Nation not the best. But striving towards Excellence in it’s own humanitarian way. No one is suppressed. Sure. There is corruption. There is Poverty. But It is Almost impossible to find a Country so diverse and yet so Democratic. Just like a hacked game is no fun. Similarly an All Powerful Country is no fun. I am blessed to make my country great in my own lifetime. I can proudly say, one day, we Indians built strength by ourselves.

If you are planning to visit India then you are lucky. For a long time, I had been planning to write an Indian tourism guide for foreigners. ๐Ÿค— As an Indian, I can give you great deal of information for free and that too genuine. ๐Ÿ˜‚
There are a lot of Myths based on Indian climate. I am planning to busy them.
