Bengal is the warmest place in the world in terms of relations. Here, everyone is referred to as a brother or sister or grandpa or anything you can think. People can freely interfere each others’ talks and that too is not a sign of lack of manners. People here care about each other. Alongwith the South Indians they are stereotyped as one of the most intelligent races. The Bengalis are often portraued to be lazy but in reality, they aren’t easy to fatigue. They are one of the most powerful people, they are morally directed to help others. People here are bound by love for each other and many of the great Indians are Bengalis. They are one of the most patriotic people of the world. This was reflected in the Indian Nationalist Movement in the form of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Masterda Surya Sen, Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das, Khudiram Bose, Bipin Cjandra Pal, to name not even a few. Bengalis are not actively participating in the modern world which is causing so much of stereotypes of Bengalis being lazy. But Bengalis are dormant volcanoes who know not being second to others. When they rise the world shakes to salute them.
I, though was writing until now in the third person, but I myself being a part of the world’s greatest race, am proud to say, I share the common mother land of S Swami Vivekananda , Rabindranath Tagore, Satyajit Ray, Etc. Etc.
The most interesting part is that living, liking, respecting and celebrating Bengal makes you a Bengali. 🙂 🙂
